Tickets will be released on Sunday 22 January. Please book a ticket for either time slot 1 (from 2 to 4 pm) or time slot 2 (from 4 to 6 pm) through the Global Lounge website or the CSSA WeChat.

Come and soak in the atmosphere of a traditional Spring Festival Marketplace (or Temple Fair, “庙会”, miào huì,  in Mandarin Chinese)!

Hosted in collaboration with Bristol SU, the Global Lounge and Bristol Chinese Students' and Scholars' Association (CSSA), the Marketplace will include a variety of exciting stalls, activities and musical performances. This event provides a fantastic chance to learn more about the customs and traditions associated with the Spring Festival.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Visit and participate in twelve themed stalls of activities (arranged in date-order, according to the dates of the celebrations and customs during the Spring Festival).
• Watch lots of different musical and dance performances throughout the day, including a dance by the Lion Dance Society and music played on the Guqin.
• Win fantastic prizes and try some tasty traditional snacks at some of the stalls.
• Purchase traditional food for a small price from some local Chinese restaurants.

Global Lounge events are open to all current students and staff. Spaces are limited, so please register to ensure your place.
