Highland 4-H members can sign-up (March 6-30) to participate in the annual 4-H Poultry Chain.  Each interested member is given 10 chicks, with option of breed, to raise this spring and summer.  Five of the chickens are then sold at auction during the Bath County Fair in late September.  It's a hands-on learning opportunity that will continue to enhance youth development skills.
