The cost is for all 5 weeks.
This introductory yoga class is designed for students who are brand new to yoga or just beginning a regular practice. The class will move at a slower pace and be limited to 5 students or less to focus on correct alignment and allow individualized attention for each student.
Students will learn the basics of breathwork (pranayama) and foundational poses (asana). The first portion of the class will introduce sun salutations and a gentle style of vinyasa (movement with breath). The last half of the class will focus on longer held yin poses which target the joints and release the connective tissues of the body.
Props and modifications will be offered to provide correct alignment and accommodate each student's individual needs.
This class is the perfect place to strengthen, stretch, and relax!
Lisa Lang RYT200Lisa fell in love with yoga in 2012 after attending a beginner's class in the Myrtle Beach area. She quickly realized its capacity for physical, emotional, and spiritual transformation. Because of the incredible healing influence yoga had in her life, Lisa felt a calling to help others find the same benefit of transformational healing.
In 2018, Lisa completed a 200-hour Vinyasa and Mindfulness focused Yoga Teacher Training in Wilmington, NC. Soon after, she completed additional training as a yin yoga teacher.
Outside of the yoga studio, Lisa taught yoga and mindfulness to elementary school kids through a non-profit organization. As a teacher, Lisa hopes to give others a gift that brings them the same sense of balance, clarity, peace, and confidence in their own journey.
