Cultivating Positive Mental Health - A M.A.P. Series Event

A parent workshop within the Method and Parent M.A.P. series designed to aid parents in caring for the emotional health of their students.

Before entering adulthood, one in five teens will suffer from depression. One in three teens havean anxiety disorder. As a parent you are not helpless! In Cultivating Positive Emotional Health. Our guest speaker, Kelly Harrel, will share tips on connecting with your teens along with strategies to help improve their mental health. In addition to homeschooling and raising two teens of her own, Kelly has worked in the area of education for over twenty years. Her passion to lead both students and adults to a place of emotional wellness also drives her to write inspirational fiction novels dealing with family dynamics and social/emotional issues. Even if your student does not currently struggle with depression or anxiety, this workshop will give you ideas of how to handle the many moods of your teen.
