Make Music Madison 2023
By Make Music Madison
Make Music Madison is a FREE, citywide, outdoor day of music held annually on the summer solstice. Initiated in Madison in 2013, our festival is part of the larger Make Music Day, an international summer solstice music celebration occurring in 1,000+ cities across the globe. Each year we present hundreds of events across the city!
Check out a full list of performances here:
Prepare for the day by:
- Review our listing page above and plan your itinerary.
- Share your plan on social with your friends using #makemusicmadison
- Bring cash or have a mobile payment method ready to tip the musicians! All events are free, but we should still support our local talent as we are able to.
- Check the weather and dress appropriately.
- Bring a chair. Some venues offer them, and some do not.
- Hydrate. It is the longest day of the year, which means more sun!
- Stop for food or drinks at a local business hosting music to support them.
Make Music Madison is:
- Performed by Anyone, Enjoyed by Everyone.
