Invasive Removal - Trail 9

Please join National Park Service and Rock Creek Conservancy for an invasive plant removal. We will be removing invasive plants, which are among the biggest threats to this urban park. We invite you to join us outside to connect with nature and help keep this section of Rock Creek healthy.


Unvaccinated volunteers must wear a mask for the duration of the event. Please follow all CDC and city guidelines regarding social distancing and public health precautions.



Activity: Volunteers will participate in a socially-distant invasive removal. Please have all members of your group register INDIVIDUALLY. Thank you!


When: Saturday, April 2nd from 10am-12:00pm


Where: Trail 9 - volunteers will meet at the Grove 2 parking lot. An email with directions and safety information will be sent to registered participants prior to the event.


What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the activity and weather. Wear long sleeves and sturdy boots or sneakers.


What to Bring: Please bring your own water and work gloves, if you have them.

Weather/Cancellation Policy: All participants will be notified via email before the event start time if an event is canceled due to inclement weather. If you do not hear from us you should assume the event will occur as scheduled. All cancellations will be updated on the event calendar listing as well. Please check back if you are unsure.
