Duo Eleanor Dubinsky and Dario Acosta Teich (USA/Argentina) take audiences on a feel-good trip around the world with fresh, multilingual concerts of jazz, iconic works in Spanish/French/Portuguese and original songs. Eleanor is a USA-born vocalist/cellist/songwriter. Dario, a masterful guitarist, is from Tucumán, Argentina, a center of Latin folk music and indigenous culture. Together, the NYC based couple presents elegant, engaging performances that transcend genre and geography. Educational outreach is a key element of Eleanor and Dario’s performance offerings. Their participatory workshops and residencies emphasize accessibility and inclusion and can be adapted for elementary through university level as well as ESL, special needs and adult students. Topics include Songwriting For Change, The Music of Argentina and Music Business for Independent Artists. Over the past three years the duo has led programs in schools throughout the USA and internationally. Eleanor and Dario serve as cultural ambassadors via the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Arts Envoy program and African Regional Services. They have designed and led in-person and virtual programs in Mauritania, Guatemala, Argentina and Honduras. Eleanor and Dario are fluent and teach in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Hebrew.
