Managing Bottomland Hardwoods

This workshop brings a unique set of partners together to explore forest management options from a five-year, science-based case study in North Carolina's coastal plain. Presenters will suggest guidelines for accomplishing desired future ecological conditions in bottomland hardwood forests to help you develop goals to address what happens next in your forest. This workshop will benefit landowners interested in learning more about active management approaches to enhance forest health and function, resiliency, wildlife habitat and timber income objectives in bottomland hardwood forests. The workshop includes a virtual session on October 26, 2021, and in-person field tours in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, on October 28 or 29, 2021.
